CJ Armstrong is an Auckland artist who specializes in character animation in both 2D and 3D media.
They adore storytelling, language, culture and are constantly inspired by the works of Japanese and Chinese animation studios such as the works of Makoto Shinaki, Kyoto Animation and Chengdu Cocoa Cartoon.
This showreel aims to demonstrate those influences in short pieces of animation, featuring various characters, emotions, and environments in order to attain a sense of depth and weight that can only be achieved through animation.
In the near future CJ hopes to work within a studio setting telling new and exciting stories or developing some of their own to be made in feature films or television series.
